Flashback Friday!

Flashback to me photographing fashion...my happy place! And a major throwback with the Dead Head tee shirt + jean vest! Actually, now that I'm really looking into it, I feel a bit embarrassed that this photo was taken only a year ago because I literally look like I'm in my high school photography 101 class and not much has changed! What can I say? The things fashion photographers get away with wearing on set is ridiculous, but I didn't make the rules. xo, L

Like the desert misses rain...

Here is a sneak peek at my photo shoot in Fountain Hills, AZ for The Love Bullet website. It was beautifully cloudy all day with incredible diffused light... I checked my weather app and it said NO RAIN. Perfect! I was so excited for a mini hike and discovering cool cactus and insane rock structures. But as soon as my model and I got on the trail, it started to rain. In Arizona. So Plan B took effect and we took some photos under cover on a concrete bench and it actually turned out very different than I had planned it to be, in a good way. I'm starting to embrace those moments in my life, the unplanned adventure, crazy coincidences, the workings of the Universe!
And I love it.

My Passion For Fashion

I've been lucky enough lately to be the photographer for the high end fashion boutique Stephanie's in Scottsdale, AZ! We are gearing up for the launch of their website where we will sell everything from vintage concert tees, Isabel Marant, Golden Goose sneaks, Alexander Wang and IRO to Martone bicycles! The photos shoots are a blast and I've even had the opportunity to photograph and graphic design a full page ad for the store that ran in Scottsdale Modern Luxury magazine. I haven't done a Photo Of The Day post in a while, so here is the official return! Today, I had a very busy day and here it is in a nutshell:

9am- Photo shoot call time at 9am, meet at store, pick clothes, drive to beach
11am- Rush to hair appointment in Truckee (thanks Lindsey at Urban Angels!)
1pm-meet back at store and return to beach to shoot more clothes and get mud + duck poop on my favorite skinny jeans because I couldnt roll them up that high {they are that tight!}
4pm-get to Rosens to nanny the boys only to discover that it's "one of those days" for little kids to be kranky
9pm- finally get home and start photoshopping the photos I took today

And that leads up to right about now so here is my favorite of today!

Fine'n'Funky Town
